Tournament mode has the player go through 100 rounds of duels in order to unlock the 8th weapon and third armor for the character that the player is controlling. When player reaches every 500 combos, Player will automatically turn into Drive State for a period of time. Free mode is where the player can go back and replay any unlocked stages within the game. Conquest mode has the player as well as having a second player join in on selecting one of 30 playable characters (including the ones previously referenced) and going out of their way in try to conquer every territory within Japan. Gaiden mode has the player go through three stages as either Fūma Kotarō, Chōsokabe Motochika, Date Masamune, Maeda Keiji, and Sanada Yukimura.
Story mode has the player play as either Azai Nagamasa, Katakura Kojūrō, and Oichi going through five stages. The game modes shown on the menu are Story mode, Gaiden (side story) mode, conquest mode, free battle mode, Tournament Mode, Versus Mode, and options mode just like most games.
